2023 Kia Seltos

The all-new 2023 Kia Seltos has arrived, which is great news for drivers looking for a roomy, versatile, subcompact SUV without a hefty sticker price. This latest edition of the Seltos has an appealing premium look while delivering thrifty, efficient performance. Family members prefer this vehicle because it's safe, reliable, and comfortable.

Performance

Among the new Kia Seltos' powertrain options are a 2-liter, 4-cylinder engine rated at 146 horsepower and a continuously variable automatic transmission. With a turbocharged 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder engine and 7-speed automatic transmission, the SX and Nightfall trim produce 175 horsepower. Except for the S trim, the new Seltos comes standard with all-wheel drive.

The base engine is intentionally equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while the turbo engine has a seven-speed automatic transmission. As for fuel economy, the Seltos features up to 35 mpg on the front-wheel-drive models.

Exterior and Interior

In terms of subcompact SUVs, the 2023 Seltos is a practical and stylish option. This vehicle offers a sleek and refined style with a hint of ruggedness. To reduce road noise, Kia has added new acoustic glass windshields to all 2023 Seltos.

There is plenty of legroom (41.4 inches front/38.4 inches rear) and headroom (40 inches front/38.4 inches rear). A total of 53.2 cubic feet of passenger space is found in the first row, and 46.4 cubic feet are found behind the rear seats, so you don't need to worry about passengers feeling cramped.

Furthermore, the interior of the 2023 Kia Seltos has an upscale appearance and standard features that are comparable to your standard luxurious small SUV. It has a downright racy feel in the cockpit. A comfortable yet supportive seat is standard, with cloth upholstery and synthetic leather upholstery options, heated front seats, and an adjustable driver's seat. There are reclining seats in the back row.

Safety

The 2023 Kia Seltos is equipped with the Kia Drive Wise safety package, which includes the following driver assistance and safety features:

●     Blind-spot collision avoidance assist-rear

●     Auto emergency braking technology

●     Lane-keeping assist and lane-following assist

●     Rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist

●     Adaptive cruise control

●     Safe exit warning

The value-oriented S trim now comes standard with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot collision avoidance.

Technology

The Kia Seltos interior boasts an impressive, user-friendly infotainment system, highlighted by a 10.25-inch touchscreen that's easy to operate from the driver's seat. Satellite radio, an 8-speaker stereo, wireless charging, navigation, and two USB ports are also available. Of course, all Seltos trims come standard with Android Auto and Carplay compatibility so that you can easily access your phone's app.

In addition, the S now offers a larger 10.3-inch touchscreen with navigation, which wasn't available in previous years.
