2020 Kia Sportage Features

The new Kia Sportage is a very affordable sports utility vehicle. It comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. It also has plenty of safety features like the forward collision warning system and lane departure warning. Maybe the Kia isn't the best option for large families but there's plenty of room up front, and it's a great SUV for cruising around town with plenty of room for five passengers plus gear and groceries.

The 2020 Kia Sportage comes in a choice of five trim levels, the LX, S, EX and SX Turbo. The EX trim level comes with heated front seats, faux leather upholstery, and great options for tech including keyless entry and blind-spot monitoring. The S with Premium package features adaptive cruise control and satellite radio. Front-wheel drive comes standard across trim levels but an all-wheel drive option is also available for all versions. A 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 181 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque powers the LX, S and EX.

The Kia Sportage LX has great features including automatic headlights and LED daytime running lights. For example, there's the rear privacy glass, a driver information display, selectable driving modes, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, and a height-adjustable driver's seat. Infotainment options include Bluetooth, an 8-inch touchscreen display, a 6-speaker sound system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, and USB port. And all this rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels.

For safety the Kia Sportage LX has rearview camera, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, a driver attention monitor, automatic high-beam control, and lane departure warning and mitigation.

The SX Turbo has all the above in addition to a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder delivering 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The SX Turbo also rides on 19-inch wheels, has dual exhaust tips, a sport-tuned suspension, and LED headlights. If you have the money to spend for the best in tech, the EX Technology package is quite impressive. There's front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking braking, adaptive cruise control, panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power-adjustable passenger seat, and ventilated front seats. Is that enough for you yet? If not, the EX package also includes heated steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, leather upholstery, a navigation system, and an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with satellite radio and voice recognition.
