2020 Kia Forte Features 

The 2020 Equinox is available in five trim levels: 

• FE
• LXS
• EX
• GT Line
• GT

 

The Forte was introduced to us by Kia back in 2009. Since then, the Kia Forte has been one of Kia's best-selling vehicles. Fresh off a complete redesign, Kia takes this popular sedan to the next level with the all-new 2020 model. That overhaul included the introduction of new variants for the GT trim. 

The GT and GT Line trims consist of "race-inspired" exterior upgrades and new interior looks. The GT gets a more powerful engine and updated suspension system while the GT Line only comes with new exterior visual features. Kia's executive director of Car Planning and Telematics Orth Hedrick said, "The Forte is already one of our top sellers, and we believe adding more diversity to the model lineup will appeal to a broader range of customers. Whether you want a practical commuter or performance compact sedan, there's now a Forte that appeals to several types of car shoppers." 

The GT Line gets the same engine as other base trim levels, a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder that produces 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. Also available in the GT Line are 17-inch alloy wheels, gloss black accents, LED daytime running lights and taillights, blind-spot warning with lane changing assistant and rear cross-traffic collision warning. 

The GT, which sits at the top of the Forte lineup, gets a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and gets a sport-tuned exhaust, 18-in alloy wheels and LED headlights with automatic high beams. Also available is a flat-bottomed steering wheel with paddle shifters and contrast stitching. The 2020 Forte's rebellious design was inspired by the Kia Stinger. Available is a sporty front fascia, tiger-nose grille, and other features contributing to the Forte's never-ending feel of flowing and contouring lines.  

 

The 2020 Forte is equipped with the same 8-inch touchscreen interface that is found in the previous model year. Available on this interface is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you opt for a GT package, you will receive a power sunroof, LED overhead lighting, wireless smartphone charging, a 4.2-inch LED screen, dual-zone automatic climate control and an 8-speaker Harman Kardon auto system. You can also find a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat and heated and ventilated synthetic leather sport seats.   

 

Similar to the 2019 model, the 2020 Kia Forte comes standard with a handful of advanced driver assistance technologies. Some of these features are lane keep assist, forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, and driver attention and drowsiness monitor.

 

The 2020 Kia Forte engine options are very fuel-efficient. With its manual transmission, the 2.0L engine can receive up to 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. With the 1.6L turbocharged engine, you can expect to see ratings of 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.
