2018 Kia Stinger GT Perfects the Art of Hauling Some Serious Butt

With models like the Cadenza and K900 inside, notion of accessibly-priced premium vehicles is still a relatively new concept to Kia. But that hasn’t stopped them from nailing it at every turn. So when we heard that the 2018 Stinger GT would further raise the bar into sport sedan territory, we were excited to see the results.

Autoblog got a chance to test a version of the Stinger GT with a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6, all-wheel drive, and 365 horses and 376 lb-ft of torque. The first thing they noticed about its performance was its eager acceleration. Sprinting to sixty in a scant 4.9-seconds in spite of its 3,800 lb. curb weight, it’s the fastest car Kia has produced yet. With all that power, however, comes an extraordinary level of control. The responsive steering and plush handling make it the perfect companion for either the track, or soaking up highway miles in gulps.

As an all-new model, you’d be hard pressed to find a sport sedan as complete as the Stinger GT. If you’d like to explore it as your next car, contact our Kia dealership in Antioch, IL and schedule a test drive.
